Experiment No:-11
RESTRAINED
TWOWAY SLAB (CORNERS
HELD DOWN)
Aim:-
Draw to a suitable scale section along short
span, section along long span, top plan and bottom plan of reinforcement of a
restrained two-way R.C.C. slab from the following data using AutoCAD
software
Problem
The
following are the particulars of a Simply supported two way slab and in which
corners are held down.
Size of room = 4.5 m X
6.0 m
Thickness of slab = 180
mm
Bearing of walls = 150
mm
Reinforcement:
1. Parallel to shorter span :
a. Middle strip = 10 mm ф @ 145 mm c/c
(with alternate bars bent-up at 775 mm from
edge of slab)
b. Edge strips = 10 mm ф @ 229 mm c/c
2. Parallel to longer span :
a) Middle strip = 10 mm ф @ 180 mm c/c
(with alternate bars bent-up at 900 mm from
edge of slab)
b) Edge strips = 10 mm ф 360 mm c/c
(Both top and bottom : 1060 mm from edge of
slab)
3. Torsion reinforcement :
a) 10 mm ф bars @ 145 mm c/c parallel to shorter span.
b) 10 mm ф bars @ 180 mm c/c parallel to longer
span.
Anchorage
and curtailment of reinforcement may be adopted with standard values and any
more data required may be assumed suitably.
Draw
the following views to a suitable scale.
1.
Section along shorter span middle strip showing reinforcement details
2.
Section along longer span middle strip showing reinforcement details.
3.
Plan showing arrangement of reinforcement at bottoms.
4.
Plan showing arrangement of reinforcement at top.
5.
Prepare a bar bending schedule.
Procedure:
1.
switch on the computer
2.Open
Auto CAD 2014
3.
Setting units
(
ii) set the unit as decimal & millimeter
4.
Setting limits
5.
Zoom – All
6.
Using Line command Restrained two way slab (corners held down) are drawn.
7.
using hatch command where our necessary
8.
Dotted lines are drawn using line type.
Result:
Thus
the Restrained two way slab (corners held down) are drawn using Auto CAD 2014
software
